We are currently working towards achieving our Unicef Rights Respecting Children Award.
Unicef is the world's leading organisation for children and their rights. They work in more than 190 countries to keep children safe and to help them to flourish.
This award supports schools to discuss the rights contained within the UN Convention and encourages then to embed human rights into their ethos and culture. Like Unicef, we believe that children should be at the heart of school's practice and that, at every opportunity, their well being should be developed and improved in order to help them realise their potential.
If you would like to know more about the work of Unicef please go to unicef.org.uk/rrsa
We now have Unicef Ambassadors in school. They are:
Y1 - Nancy Wallace
Y2 - Isobel Finney
Y3 - Safina Bagley
Y4 - Duncan Brindley
Y5 - Grace White
Y6 - Daniel White
They will be working with Mrs bailey to ensure that all children understand their rights and encourage everyone to respect the rights of others.
