School Dinners

Reception and Key Stage One:

Since September 2013, all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to receive a free school lunch. Although we do not cook our own meals on site, we do have hot meals delivered to us. Therefore if you wish to opt out of the free entitlement, we ask that you let school know so that we may cancel the meal order.

If you send your child with a packed lunch please use a plastic lunch box that is clearly labelled with your child’s name. Fizzy drinks are not permitted; they should be still and stored in either a carton or plastic bottle. Water is available in the lunch hall.

As a healthy eating school we encourage our parents to send a well balanced lunch and limit the amount of chocolate, sweets and crisps that are eaten. Pupils are rewarded with healthy eating stickers every time a lunchtime supervisor spots a super lunchbox.

Key Stage Two:

Children in Key Stage Two have the option to bring sandwiches or purchase a school dinner. A school dinner costs £1.95 and must be paid to the class teacher in a labelled envelope. Menu options are sent out termly and list the selection of food available that term. There is always a vegetarian option provided each day as well as access to a free salad trolley. Drinks cost 25p and can be purchased from the dinner hall.

Each Year group has a designated member of the dinner staff who supervises them in the hall and on the playground.

Please drop into the school office or see your child’s class teacher if you wish to discuss any dietary requirements. we will always do our best to accommodate your child's needs.
