  • Macmillan Coffee Morning 2024

    Fri 27 Sep 2024

On Friday 27th September, we held our annual coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support. Children from across the school visited our special cafe and sampled the cakes that families had donated.

Parents also enjoyed a coffee and cake before and after school with us.

Thank you to everyone who supported with cake or cash donations. A fantastic £420 was raised for the wonderful charity.

  • UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award at Gold.

    Sat 21 Sep 2024

As you may remember, on Wednesday 3rd July 2024, we were visited by Hilary Alcock, a RRSA Professional Advisor. She toured the school, met with the Rights Respecting Ambassadors and a selection of children from other years to discuss how we are a Rights Respecting School and what we do to learn about our rights and advocate for the rights of others. We have now received confirmation that the Accreditation and Standards Committee have agreed to award us UNICEF UK’s Rights Respecting School Award at Gold: Rights Respecting.

Our report is on the ‘About Us’, ‘UNICEF – Rights Respecting School’ section of our website if you are interested in reading it.

To celebrate our achievement, on Friday 4th October we are holding a ‘Wear Gold to Celebrate’ day. The children can come to school dressed in gold or wearing elements of gold. The children will participate in fun activities during the afternoon to celebrate.

Thank you again for your support.
