Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We are so incredibly proud of India, our Year 4 pupil, who worked so hard this weekend with her parents to support families in Ukraine.
India and her parents collected donations of clothing, toiletries and essential items from neighbours, packaged them up and loaded them onto lorries travelling to the Ukraine.
The donations sent will make a huge difference to people who have left their homes to escape the war. One act of kindness can start a chain that changes the world.
We're looking forward to World Book Day, happening later this week. Everyone is attending school dressed as their favourite book characters and taking part in some wonderful reading activities. We can't wait to share the photographs with you on Twitter!
21st February to 6th March 2022 is Fairtrade Fortnight
Our Unicef Ambassadors have been sharing a special assembly with classes this week, about how we can all play our part in ensuring farmers receive a fair price for their crops.
Golden Time will be used this week to take part in some fun and creative activities that help deepen our understanding of fair trade.
Maybe you could buy a Fairtrade product from the supermarket this week so that children can see the work of Fairtrade International in action.
Across the school this week, children have been learning about how to eat well, relax and exercise in order to maintain a healthy body and mind. From making fruit kebabs to learning yoga, we've all enjoyed the new experiences and have ended the week knowing new ways to make small but healthy changes to our lives.
Well done to our Food for Life Champions for assisting Mrs Scott, Miss Brown and Mrs Probert in organising this wonderful week.
Special thanks also to Jules (and Frankie the chicken) from Packington Farm. Her presentation on food and farming was excellent.
On Safer Internet Day we celebrate the best parts of being online, including:
It is really important that we are respectful online. What does this look like?
Remember if anything at all online makes you feel upset, scared, angry, worried or confused, you must speak up. Talk to an adult you trust for help. That could be an adult in school or at home.
Remember that when you are online you might not be able to control other people’s behaviour, but you can control your own and make respectful choices!
